Who Is Alexa Jeong?

Alexa Jeong grew up in a well-known entertainment family, but her public profile has developed differently from her father’s. Ken Jeong became widely known through roles in The Hangover films, Community and Dr. Ken, while Alexa has pursued creative work behind the camera as well as visual art.

Her connection to filmmaking became especially visible during her time at Viewpoint School in California. Viewpoint documented her involvement in its Film Program and noted that she wrote, directed, produced and edited her own short film, Crescendo, during her junior year.

That work gives a clearer picture of Alexa’s interests than the celebrity-family label alone. She has used storytelling as a creative outlet while building experience in several parts of production.

Who Are Alexa Jeong’s Parents?

Alexa’s parents are Ken Jeong and Tran Ho. The couple married in 2004 and have twin daughters, Alexa and Zooey, who were born on May 26, 2007.

Ken Jeong is an actor, comedian and former physician whose career moved from medicine into entertainment. His Hollywood career includes The Hangover, Community and The Masked Singer. In 2024, he was honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

Tran Ho is a physician, and the family has generally kept Alexa and Zooey from becoming constant subjects of celebrity coverage. Public information about the twins has largely come through family interviews, school records and occasional public appearances.

Who Is Alexa Jeong’s Twin Sister?

Alexa’s fraternal twin sister is Zooey Jeong. The sisters have been described as having noticeably different interests.

Ken has previously said Alexa developed a strong interest in gymnastics, while Zooey was more drawn to comedy and acting. In a Parade interview, he described Alexa as a champion gymnast and talked about how the girls pursued interests that were their own rather than simply following their parents’ careers.

Their different interests continued into high school. Viewpoint records show both sisters participating in school activities, while Alexa was also involved in visual arts and filmmaking.

What Did Alexa Jeong Do at Viewpoint School?

Alexa built a broad extracurricular record at Viewpoint School.

In 2024, the school reported that she received several Scholastic Art & Writing regional recognitions, including a Gold Key and two Silver Keys in photography, along with awards in drawing and illustration and digital art.

Her filmmaking work was another important part of that period. Alexa’s short film Crescendo was written, directed, produced and edited by her. The film was selected for multiple student film festivals and received the Outstanding Achievement in Writing award at the 2024 Calabasas Film Festival, according to Viewpoint and the festival’s coverage.

The Burbank International Film Festival also listed Crescendo as a nominee for its California Student Young Filmmaker Award in 2024.

Alexa’s own portfolio describes Crescendo as a Korean-American drama inspired by her father’s story of wanting to become a performer while facing expectations about career stability. She wrote that the film explores family, music and ambition.

Is Alexa Jeong an Actress?

There is no strong evidence that Alexa has established a professional acting career.

Her documented creative work has centered more clearly on filmmaking, illustration, photography and other visual arts. Her 2024 Viewpoint profile specifically highlighted her behind-the-scenes interest in film and said she had been fascinated by that side of entertainment from a young age.

That distinction matters because some celebrity-focused websites describe her as an actress or attach entertainment credits to her without providing strong supporting evidence. The better-documented record points to an emerging filmmaker and artist rather than an established professional actor.

Where Does Alexa Jeong Go to College?

Alexa’s current personal website identifies her as a student at Yale University and describes her as an artist working across illustration, photography and film.

A Yale organization page independently lists an Alexa Jeong as Cultural Chair of the Korean American Students at Yale.

Together, those sources provide current evidence of her connection to Yale. Her personal website also suggests that she continues to focus on storytelling through creative work rather than pursuing the same entertainment path as her father.

What Is Alexa Jeong Doing Now?

As of September 2026, Alexa Jeong is 19 and publicly identified as a Yale student and artist. Her current interests include illustration, photography and film, while her campus involvement includes a leadership role with the Korean American Students at Yale.

Her earlier work provides some context for that direction. At Viewpoint, she earned recognition in visual arts and created Crescendo, giving her experience in writing, directing, producing and editing.

There is not enough reliable public information to state that she has chosen a specific long-term profession after Yale. Her current public profile is better described as that of a college student and developing artist.

Did Alexa Jeong Follow Ken Jeong Into Entertainment?

In a limited sense, yes, but not in the same role.

Ken Jeong built his career as a performer, while Alexa has shown more interest in storytelling and production. Her comments to Viewpoint explain that watching her father work on television and film sparked an early interest in the behind-the-scenes side of entertainment.

Her film Crescendo also drew directly from her father’s experience, although it was not simply a biography of him. Alexa said she wanted to explore the broader tension between creative ambitions and family expectations through a Korean-American story.

That makes her connection to Hollywood more nuanced than simply being “Ken Jeong’s daughter.” Her documented work shows an interest in creating stories herself.

Is Alexa Jeong’s Net Worth Known?

No reliable public source establishes Alexa Jeong’s personal net worth.

Some celebrity biography websites publish estimated figures, but those numbers are not supported by financial records or authoritative reporting. There is also no reliable evidence establishing independent earnings from a professional entertainment career.

For that reason, a specific net worth figure would be speculation rather than a verified fact.

Alexa Jeong’s Public Life

Alexa has occasionally appeared publicly with her family. One documented example was Ken Jeong’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony on October 23, 2024, where UPI photographed Ken with Tran Ho, Alexa and Zooey.

Her public presence, however, is substantially smaller than her father’s. Most reliable information about her comes from her own portfolio, Yale, Viewpoint and established entertainment publications.

That leaves a fairly clear picture: Alexa Jeong grew up around Hollywood, developed strong interests in gymnastics and the arts, pursued filmmaking in high school, and is now studying at Yale while continuing her creative work.

Alexa Jeong Today

Alexa Jeong is more than a celebrity daughter in the available public record. She is a Yale student and artist whose documented interests include film, photography and illustration.

Her earlier achievements at Viewpoint show a particular interest in storytelling, while her current Yale involvement indicates that she remains active in campus life. Her future career direction has not been formally announced, so it is best to treat speculation about her next professional move as just that: speculation.
